Educational Qualification
For Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant:
- 12th class pass from a recognized university/ board
- Candidates will be required to furnish a certificate of basic computer training from a recognized computer training institution
For Postman/Mail Guard:
- 12th class pass from a recognized university/ board
- Knowledge of local language (i.e Tamil). The candidate should have studied the local language at lease upto 10th standard
- Candidates will be required to furnish a certificate of basic computer training from a recognized computer training institution
- Candidates should have a valid license of a two-wheeler or light motor vehicle. PWD candidates are exempted from the possession of a license
For Multi Tasking Staff:
- 10th class pass from a recognized university/ board
- Knowledge of local language (i.e Tamil). The candidate should have studied the local language at lease upto 10th standard

- For Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant & Postman: 18 to 27 years
- For Multi Tasking Staff: 18 to 25 years
Pay Scale
- For Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant: Rs.25,500-81,100/-
- For Postman/Mail Guard: Rs.21,700-69,100/-
- For Multi Tasking Staff: Rs.18,000-56,900/-
