Qualifications

Essential

  • M.Sc in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/M.Tech in Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/M.Sc (Agri) in Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Plant Pathology/M.Sc in Virology and selected through National Eligibility Test- CSIR –UGC NET including lectureship and GATE or selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments such as DST , DBT, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc

Desirable

  • One year research experience in Plant Viruses

Emoluments : Rs 31000/- month for year 1 and II ; Rs 35000/- month for Year III Plus 16 % HRA

Age limit : Upper age limit not to exceed 35 years for men and 40 years of for women as on the date of the interview. (Age relaxation as per Govt of India rules)

Duration : Upto 27th March 2021

Nature of Work

Isolation of DNA and RNA from plants, PCR,RT –PCR, cloning, sequence analysis, phylogeny, Isolation of
protein, SDS –PAGE, ELISA, Western blotting and immuno capture PCR.

 

Selection Process

  • Based on Interviews only.
  • Candidates are to ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria before coming to appear in the interview.

  • Eligible candidates may appear for interview along with resume/bio-data, recent passport size photo, original certificates and one set of self attested copies of certificates (Proof for age, education, caste certificate and experience if any).

General Terms and conditions

  1. The above position is purely on temporary basis and is for the period upto 27 March 2021.. The
    selected candidate will not have any right for claiming pay scale or absorption against any regular post being vacant on a later date at this Institute.
  2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interview.
  3. Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.
  4. The decision of Director, ICAR- IISR would be final and binding in all aspects.
  5. Candidates who secure the minimum marks prescribed by the Institute in written test only will be eligible for attending the interview. The number of candidates to be called for the interview will be decided by the Director of the Institute.
  6. Those who do not possess the proof of Age and Educational Qualifications will not be allowed to attend the Test/Interview.

Note: All relevant certificates (in original) and bio data, No objection certificate in case he/she is employed elsewhere and experience certificate in original (if any) need to be produced at the time of interview.
